You do not have to post a picture. You can easily post a picture of an animal that you think best represents you or a picture of your zodiac sign. Another option would be a cartoon who you best relate to. Just put in there that pictures will shared later.

Yes, it’s a shocking thing to learn that you have an STD, but don’t let it ruin your life. Here are some facts regarding herpes taken from the CDC website (I’ll include the link below). 1 in 4 women have the virus and 1 in 5 men have it. More than one in five Americans-45 million people-are infected with genital herpes. Herpes is more common in women than men, infecting approximately one out of four women, versus one out of five men. This difference in gender may be because male-to-female transmission is more efficient than transmission from females to males.

The purpose of sharing that information with you is to let you know you are by NO MEANS alone in this category.

Whether or not to post a picture is a personal choice. Just as with other dating sites, posting a picture will definitely result in more interest and viewing of your profile.

Remember this: the virus does NOT define who you are, it does not mean you are a bad person or a promiscuous person. It does not make you any less worthy or deserving of love and happiness in your life.

Most importantly, educate yourself so that when the time comes that you do meet someone and the time for a full disclosure talk must take place……because it ABSOLUTELY must take place…..the person you are considering becoming intimate with must have the right to make a conscious choice….you will have the material and facts to share with him. You can lead a normal and healthy sexual life…..you must just take extra precautions and be armed with knowledge.

    Hope that helps.
